Workshop on Language Technologies for Historical and Ancient Languages (LT4HALA)

The CEIEC research group participates in the Workshop on Language Technologies for Historical and Ancient Languages (LT4HALA) colocated with LREC 2020, one of the most important conferences on language resources.

Our researchers Eva Martínez Garcia and Álvaro García Tejedor present a research paper that shows the first experiments on Latin to Spanish Machine Translation. In their work, they use state-of-the-art Machine Translation techniques to the low-resourced Latin-Spanish language pair. Furthermore, they explore several domain adaptation techniques and analyze the impact of the amount and quality of data on the final quality achieved by the developed Machine Translation systems.
